Bullet-Shaped Menus, Kalashnikov Sandwiches
A Beirut Restaurant makes light of the war afflicted Middle East with the name "Buns and Guns." At this weapon - themed eatery, one can order a "Terrorist Meal" and a "Kalashnikov" sandwich, offering the motto "a sandwich can kill you."
Popular among local teenagers, the restaurant entrance is flanked with sandbags and has often been mistaken for a weapons dealer. The owner claims that the idea for Buns and Guns was born out of his own creativity, citing no influence from Lebanon's recent violent history.
